At-Home Newborn Photography in Worthing & West Sussex

Natural, baby-led newborn photography at your home in Worthing, Lancing, Goring, and across West Sussex.

My sessions are calm, relaxed, and focused on capturing real connection. No studio, no props, no pressure - just honest, documentary-style portraits of your baby's first days.

Based in Sussex, I travel throughout Worthing and West Sussex. No need to leave home with a newborn - I come to you.

Before It Changes | Newborn Photography in Worthing

Newborns change faster than you expect. Within days, the tiny fist curled against a cheek, the way they fit perfectly on your chest - it's already different.

I come to you at home in Worthing and document what's actually there. Not posed. Not perfected. Just the real, quiet intimacy of those first days - the details you're too exhausted and overwhelmed and in love to fully take in at the time. These photos give that time back to you.

What is Natural Newborn Photography?

Natural newborn photography means no posing, no props, no studio. Just your baby, your home, and whatever is actually happening - a feed, a yawn, the way your partner holds them while you rest.

I follow your baby's lead, working around feeds and sleep rather than against them. The light comes from your windows. The details are yours.

The result looks like your first days actually felt - not someone else's idea of what they should look like.

“We had a great newborn photoshoot with Irma. I was 9 days post partum and when the time came about a little daunted about doing the photoshoot.

However Irma was fantastic! She totally put us at ease and it was a really comfortable experience. The photos are also great, a fantastic reminder of this time!”

 Faqs

  • Yes! I regularly work throughout Worthing, Goring, Lancing, Shoreham, and across West Sussex. I come to your home - no need to travel with a newborn.

  • Working with me is relaxed and low-key, no bright lights, no awkward posing, and no pressure for your baby (or you) to "perform." I simply come to your home and quietly document your family as you are, in your own space and your own rhythm.

We take breaks when needed, whether that’s for a feed, a cuddle, or just a breather. I’m there to observe and capture the little moments as they unfold naturally.

  • Not at all. If you reach out and I have a date available in the coming days, we can schedule your newborn session without any problems.

  • Sessions usually last around 2 hours, but I take as much time as your baby needs. Time is built in for feeds, nappy changes, and short breaks, there’s no rush.

  • Newborn session pricing starts at £470. You can find detailed information on my pricing page.

  • Absolutely. Older siblings often love to join in. I aim to capture natural interactions, curiosity, and connection between your children. Partners are welcome too, and family shots are always included. If you prefer just your newborn, that works too, the session is flexible to your family’s needs.

The process

Step 01: PRE-CONSULTATION

We’ll discuss your vision for your newborn photoshoot and I will tell you a bit more about how I work.

Step 02: PENCIL IN A DATE

My diary can fill up quite quickly, so together we can pencil in a date for your photo session as quickly as possible.

Step 03: the photoshoot

This is the fun part! We work at your baby’s pace, the focus is on relaxed, natural newborn portraits that reflect these first precious days.

Step 04: viewing your images

Around three weeks after your newborn session, you’ll receive a private online gallery showcasing a selection of carefully edited images.

Step 05: print orders

Once you’ve explored your gallery, you can choose from four thoughtfully curated collections to order digital images and/or printed products.
