I am a Brighton based Newborn Photographer, but I also photograph babies in Hove, Lewes, Worthing and all over Sussex, London and surrounding areas!
Meet Irma
Hello there, I'm Irma - a newborn and family photographer in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex. I’m inspired by the extraordinary moments in our everyday, the range of human emotion and the beauty of natural light. I love documenting genuine and emotive images of children and their parents.
No posing is required during my photo sessions. I believe in surprises and in those little moments when your child thinks no one is looking. Your shoot with me will be fun and relaxed and there is no need to prepare anything.
For years now, I have had the privilege to photograph hundreds of newborn babies, children and families all across Sussex and London and I hope to meet you and your family very soon!

How does it work?
My newborn photography session is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours long and is done in the comfort of your own home to make you and your baby feel as relaxed as possible. My aim is to capture real and honest moments because you will want to remember those early days as new parents in an authentic way.
I take a documentary approach to newborn baby photography, for me it’s all about storytelling. If you’re after natural, candid and authentic newborn portraits that tell the story of you as a new parents, then I’m your newborn photographer!
I will capture those honest, fun and real moments between you and your newborn baby without you even realising my camera is there!
If you are up for it, we can also add an outdoor location to your newborn photoshoot. We can take your little one for a stroll along the seafront, to a local park or your favourite coffee shop in town.

When to book your newborn photoshoot?
It's really up to you! A newborn photography session can be booked in any time from just a few weeks after you give birth to a few months after your baby is born. Do whatever feels right for you and your family.
Babies younger than one month old are still very sleepy, so this age is great for those curled-up sleepy shots and photos of feeds and cuddling moments.
Babies older than a month tend to be more alert and they can already show so much personality by then! They won't be asleep all the time so there will be more "eyes open" shots and maybe even some first smiles.
