Family Photographer London | Peckham | Documentary Family Photoshoot London

I did such a fun family photoshoot in London last week! Having lived in Peckham, South East London, for over five years, Matt and Amy made the decision to leave London and are moving to the East Midlands soon. They wanted me to document their Peckham life and took me on a local adventure through their area, visiting all the fun sights.

I love Peckham, the neon colours, the graffiti, the fruit and veg stalls - all combine to make it an excellent place for a documentary family photo session. We started off at their home, where I took some doorstep portraits, and then headed over to Copeland Yard. With its diverse community of artists, small businesses, bars and restaurants, Copeland Yard offers the perfect location for a fun and colourful family photoshoot.

I was really impressed with both Haydn and Brian (the dog!) as the shoot involved a fair bit of walking, but neither of them complained. Our walk continued to Rye Lane and Bellenden Road, both streets offering great background colours for some lovely informal and fun family documentary portraits.

We ended the photo session with a stroll through Warwick Gardens. If you have small children and live in Peckham then I'm sure you have visited this park - probably more than once! :-) It's a lovely little park, great for walking the dog and/or letting your toddler run around.

If you are thinking of booking a family photoshoot I would highly recommend to include an outdoor location that you love going to. Street markets, your favourite coffee place where you take your little one for a babyccino, your local park, all are perfect locations for an informal, fun and relaxed documentary family photoshoot!
