What to expect from your pregnancy photoshoot
Your pregnancy is a unique time in your life and, although you might not always feel your best, it's absolutely worth documenting this special moment!
I love how maternity photoshoots are filled with the excitement of what's to come. It's such a short period of your life (although those 9 months can sometimes feel like forever), and I can capture those memories for you in an authentic, relaxed and natural way.
My approach to your maternity photography session is to document your pregnancy exactly as it is at the time we take your maternity portraits.
The shoot is done in the comfort of your own home and/or at an outdoor location of your choice (Brighton beach or Hove beach is obviously perfect for this!) and I will always make sure you’ll feel at ease in front of the camera first before we start shooting.
I also offer newborn photography sessions and everyone who’s booked me for a maternity shoot gets a 20% discount on their newborn shoot!

Mum of Ivy, Dutchie in Brighton, massive sea and beach lover and always thinking about the next camera... Documentary photography has been my passion for many years and, since having my daughter, photographing family life has become my biggest love.
For me, the main goal as a family photographer is to capture connection as it happens. I strongly believe in emotive family photos, the ones that show love, emotion and true feelings.
For years now, I have had the privilege to photograph hundreds of newborn babies, pregnant women, children and families all across Sussex and I hope to meet you and your family very soon!
When to book your maternity photoshoot?
This is totally up to you. I would say that probably any moment from 28 weeks up to 35 weeks is great, but it all depends on how you feel. The only thing that you most definitely need is a sizeable bump to photograph!
What to wear?
I often get asked by clients what they should wear. Again, this is up to you! I won't be telling you how to dress, but I can definitely give you some advice on what to wear.
My job is to take beautiful maternity photos of you in whatever you wear so choose something that makes you feel good in, whether that’s a more loose fitting, flowy bohemian dress or a form-fitting outfit. There is no right or wrong here!
How long does a pregnancy photo session take?
My maternity photoshoots usually take around one hour to capture a great variety of images of you and your beautiful bump!
Do you also offer Newborn Photoshoots?
Yes I do and I would obviously love to photograph you and your baby once your little one has arrived! When you book a maternity photoshoot you’ll automatically get 20% off a newborn photography session with me.
Where do you work?
All over the country! I am a Sussex based maternity photographer, so most of my shoots are in or around Brighton & Hove, Lewes, Worthing and Haywards Heath, but I also do a lot of maternity photoshoots in London and in other parts of the UK.
