Meet Irma!

Mum of Ivy, Dutchie in the U.K., massive sea and beach lover and always thinking about the next camera... Documentary photography has been my passion for many years and, since having my daughter, photographing family life has become my biggest love.

As a family photographer, my main goal is to capture real connections as they happen. I focus on taking meaningful family photos that show love and emotion in a natural way.

My photo sessions don’t require posing, allowing for a more genuine and natural experience. I capture those unexpected moments when your child thinks no one is watching, showing their true self. Our time will be fun and easy, with no preparation needed, creating a relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

For years now, I have had the privilege to photograph hundreds of newborn babies, children and families all across Sussex and I hope to meet you and your family very soon!

Why You’ll Love Working with Me for Your Family Portraits

Finding the right family photographer is about more than just taking great photos - it’s about finding someone who can truly capture the heart of your family. Here’s why I believe I’m that person:

A Personal Connection

As a mother, I understand the beautiful chaos of family life - the laughter, the love, and the tender, unfiltered moments. This understanding helps me connect with families in a way that ensures your photos reflect genuine emotions and authentic bonds.

A Relaxed, Documentary Approach

I specialise in documentary-style photography, which means no stiff poses or forced smiles. My approach is natural and unobtrusive, capturing your family’s story as it unfolds.

Local Knowledge, Beautiful Locations

Having lived in London for nearly 10 years, I’m fortunate to know the best spots for family photography. Whether we start at your home or explore the stunning outdoor locations nearby, I’ll help you choose the perfect setting to match your family’s style and personality.

Recognised Excellence

I’m humbled to have been named one of the Top 10 UK Family Photographers and to have my work featured in PhotoVogue and Juno Magazine. These recognitions reflect my dedication to creating meaningful, heartfelt images for families like yours.

If you’re looking for a photographer who will tell your family’s story with authenticity, care, and creativity, I’d love to hear from you!

"I asked Irma to take some photos of my family when my daughter was a month old. I was hesitant because I don't really enjoy having pictures taken but I am so glad I decided to go for it. Irma is a true professional! She was so lovely and chatty which was the perfect distraction and meant there was no awkwardness at all. The best part was obviously the photographs. My partner and I take a lot of photos of our children on our iPhones but it really is worth having professional ones taken. Irma captured my toddler and his interactions with our baby so beautifully. The photos are just gorgeous we are so happy with them. Definitely recommend!"
