Family portrait photographer | professional family photos with a documentary feel
This blog is all about family portraits! When you book a documentary family photoshoot with me, I photograph you and your family in the most authentic way possible. I often advise families to plan their photoshoot around a family activity. This could be anything, from a trip to the beach or the South Downs, to baking scones, and depends on what you like doing as a family. This doesn’t mean we can’t also take some more traditional family portraits though.
Once you’ve made the decision to invest in a professional photographer, and you’ve told your whole family about it :-), you might also want to include a couple slightly more conventional family photos . Yes, if you would like some framed pictures for the grandparents, this might mean you’ll have to do a bit of posing. But these family portraits normally won’t take more than 15 minutes and when I’m taking these shots, I’m still searching for those personal, emotional and spontaneous moments that create a gorgeous and natural family portrait photography!
There is no need to say “cheese” or match your outfits (although please feel free to do so if you want!), just trust your photographer and… RELAX. Your photographer knows what to look for in terms of location, light and background to create the best natural family portraits.
Are you after those natural family portraits, but can never seem to find the time to get a family photoshoot booked in? Don’t wait any longer, Spring is only just around the corner, the BEST season to get your family photos taken. I am now taking bookings for my Spring mini photoshoots in either Hove Park or at Hove Beach and I would love to photograph you and your family too!
