At Home Newborn Photography London | Islington Newborn Shoot

I always get really excited when I have a London shoot coming up, especially when it's in North London, where I lived when I had just moved to the U.K.

I love walking around the beautiful streets of Angel, one of my favourite parts of North London, and it always brings back so many memories. I used to stroll around the markets in my lunch break, go for walks on Islington Green or visit one of the coffee shops along Regent's canal. Good times!

For Elodie's newborn shoot I had the pleasure of going back to this lovely part of London - as she and her parents live right in the heart of Islington, in a gorgeous home. The light in their house was just incredible!

People often ask me when the best time to have a newborn shoot is - and my advice always is when you and your family feel ready. I loved that Elodie's mum contacted me the day after she'd given birth to book her newborn session in - and that Elodie was still so tiny (only one month old!) when we took her newborn photos.

As always with my newborn sessions, we started off at home. I took some lovely natural portraits of Elodie and focused on documenting every detail, from feeds to nappy changes. I was so happy to hear that they also felt up to taking Elodie outside, for a walk in the pram. Their house is super close to St. Mary Magdalene Garden - a lovely little park which was the perfect spot to take some more family portraits.

From the park it was only a short walk back to Islington station where I took the tube to Victoria station and a train back to Hove. Below are some of my favourite shots from this Islington newborn photography session!
