What to expect from your pregnancy photoshoot

Your pregnancy is a truly unique and transformative time in your life, filled with anticipation and excitement. Even if you may not always feel your best during this significant time of change in your life, it’s definitely worth capturing this special moment in your journey of becoming a mum.

I love how pregnancy shoots are filled with the excitement of what lies ahead and the journey of parenthood that is just around the corner. It's such a fleeting period of your life (although those 9 months can sometimes feel like an eternity), and I love documenting those memories for you in an authentic and natural way that truly reflects your unique experience of being pregnant.

My approach to your maternity photoshoot is to document your pregnancy exactly as it is at the time of the photo session.

The shoot is done in the comfort of your own home and/or at an outdoor location of your choice (Worthing Beach is obviously perfect for this!) and I will always make sure you’ll feel at ease in front of the camera first before we start shooting.

When to book your Worthing Maternity Photoshoot?

This decision is entirely up to you, and it can reflect your personal preferences and comfort levels. Generally, I would suggest that any time from around 28 weeks up to 35 weeks is perfect for capturing your pregnancy, but ultimately it depends on how you feel physically and emotionally. The only thing you most definitely need is a sizeable bump yo photograph!

What to wear?

Whether it's a maternity photoshoot or any of my other family photo sessions, I often get asked by clients what they should wear. Again, this is up to you! I won't be telling you how to dress, the only thing I would say is that you should wear something that you feel comfortable and beautiful in.

How long does a pregnancy photo session take?

My maternity photoshoots usually take around 1 hour to capture a great variety of images of you and your beautiful bump!

Where do you work?

All over the country! I am a Sussex based maternity photographer, so most of my shoots are in Worthing, Chichester, Lancing, Steyning and all over Sussex.
