Family Photographer Haywards Heath | Documentary family and newborn photography Haywards Heath

When Julia contacted me to take some relaxed family portraits of her family at their property in Wivelsfield, East Sussex, I knew it was going to be a fun family photo session. As I am still relatively knew to the Lewes district, I just love exploring this part of Sussex. Haywards Heath, and all the surrounding villages, offer such lovely countryside. And the best bit is that it is only a 20 minute drive from Brighton & Hove!

Our family photoshoot mainly took place outside, in the gardens, as it was such a lovely Summer day. This weekend was really special to Julia and her husband, as it was the first time in years that the whole family were able to spend some time together again. One of her daughters, and her family, came all the way from Dubai, which made it extra special. Her other daughter had just had her baby girl, only ten weeks old at the time of the shoot, which made our Slice Of Life family shoot also a bit of a newborn photo session. She was the cutest little girl and a perfect model. :-)

I adored spending time with this family, and with all the dogs! We had 4 dogs running around which was perfect for those unexpected, natural and fun documentary family portraits. At one point they all jumped in the pool, which was just hilarious to watch and I ended up with some really funny portraits of everyone trying to avoid a wet dog!
