Family and Newborn Photography in Worthing, West Sussex | Family photographer Worthing with a documentary approach

Worthing family photo session at Cissbury Ring. Natural family photos in Worthing.

When we made the move down from London to East Sussex last year, I honestly felt like I knew absolutely nothing about the beautiful area we were about to call our new “home.” Our decision to relocate to Hove was primarily influenced by a lovely little family getaway we took the previous Summer. We spent several days in Hove, and I remember thinking, “I love this place; it must be incredibly nice to live so close to the sea.” That simple realisation was all it took, and just like that, the decision was made.

We’ve been in Hove now for nearly a year, and we absolutely love living here and have zero regrets about leaving London behind. It feels like I am slowly but surely starting to get to know the area a bit more, but there is still so much more to explore! Ivy really enjoys going on little adventures with us, especially to Devil’s Dyke. We’ve also had the chance to visit the charming windmill, known as Beacon Mill, in Rottingdean. A few months ago, when Ivy’s cousins were over visiting from the Netherlands, we all had a fantastic time at Middle Farm, located near Lewes, where we got to cuddle some of the farm animals.

Friends of ours live in Worthing, West Sussex, which is conveniently only a 20-minute drive from our home, and having visited Worthing a few times now, I can honestly say that I absolutely love this place. It features so many lovely locations that are perfect for creating some gorgeous outdoor family photos!

When you book a family photoshoot with me, I will always ask you to think of an outdoor activity that you particularly enjoy doing with your children. When you live in Worthing, it's no surprise that the beach tends to be the overwhelmingly popular choice! Worthing is a lovely and vibrant seaside town, centered around its historic pier, and it offers plenty of shops along with a gently sloping beach that invites relaxation and fun. Additionally, it boasts a delightful fairground along the town’s promenade, which serves as just the perfect location for capturing those candid and natural family photos that truly reflect the joy of spending time together!

The most important thing when having your family portraits taken is that the whole family feels comfortable in front of the camera. For both my family and newborn photoshoots I start off at home, the place that’s most familiar to you, and where you feel like you can be yourselves. Once you feel totally at ease around me and my camera, we can head out to do something fun! Think going to the beach, exploring Arundel Castle, going for a walk in Steyne Gardens or just going to your favourite cafe for a hot chocolate (Ivy’s favourite thing to do :-)).

Based in Brighton and Hove, I specialise in providing natural, unposed, and informal family and newborn photography throughout the beautiful regions of East and West Sussex. If you and your family happen to live in Worthing, or in the charming surrounding coastal areas such as Lancing, Steyning, Littlehampton, or Goring-by-Sea, and you are interested in booking your very own family or newborn baby photoshoot in West Sussex, I would absolutely love to hear from you!
