Family Photographer East Dulwich | Autumn Mini Photo Sessions | Natural Family Photos

I’m not sure, but I think October might just have been the wettest month EVER. I cannot believe how much rain we’ve had over the last few weeks. When you book me for a family photo session, I always try to take you outdoors, after I’ve taken some candid pictures at home. So I always keep a close eye on the weather forecast.

I had booked in a round of family mini shoots in East Dulwich months in advance, and I really didn’t want to postpone these due to the rain. Luckily the chosen date turned out to be a beautiful Autumn day, the sun came out and we had some gorgeous soft light coming through the trees in Peckham Rye Park.

I took some doorstep portraits of the lovely family in these blog photos back in the first lockdown - only then they were a family of three. :-) It’s always such an honour to photograph families for a second (or third!) time.

I love photographing families in East Dulwich, and in the past I have also offered family mini photoshoots in Dulwich Park, but I just keep going back to Peckham Rye Park, because I love this park so much. The fenced off play area is a great location to get those natural unposed and candid family photos and the Japanese Garden colours are just unbeatable in Autumn.

I will be back in Dulwich next weekend for my last round of 2022 family mini sessions on Peckham Rye. Fingers crossed for another stunning Autumn Day!
